We have so far decided to set up an email list. We know the pros of doing so.
We have discussed a Lead Magnet to get people to want to sign up and talked about ideas for them. We have talked about the Welcome Sequence to draw customers into a relationship with our business.
But the Welcome Sequence is just the beginning. Now you have to keep up the relationships you’ve just started.
But what are you going to say?
Here is a list of content ideas for pet and animal businesses you can use to write emails your customers want to read.
1. Sucess with Purchased Products
Once a client has purchased a product from you, you want them to be successful with it so that they come back for more.
For a pet store, when a customer purchases a pet you can write up care tips for an email.
If you sell safety equipment, you can include safety tips that incorporate your products.
Both of these ideas are information your customers will want that are beneficial and pertinent to them.
2. Sales
Email is a cheap, effective way to advertise sales. Your email list is a group of warm contacts who already know you and are willing to trust your advice.
When you have a sale, the plan is to spread the word, and these people are a waiting audience.
3. New Products/Services
Offering something new your customers would be interested in? This is the perfect place to talk about it.
Give your email list some key features and reasons why this new item might be for them.
4. Relevant Industry News
Is there a new disease spreading through the pet community? A huge recall affecting products your sell or your customers might use?
This is valuable information for your email list. News that affects them and is related to your business is great fodder for your email list.
5. Special Events
Santa photos, doggie costume contests, or rabies clinics are all great events to share with your customers.
Again, it is all about relevance. A car show might interest some of your clientele but if it doesn’t have an angle for your business, leave it out!
I hope that list gave you some good ideas of email content. Armed with ideas you are ready to build a long-lasting relationship with your customers.
